Groff Tractor’s Inaugural Golf Classic Scores Big in Fundraising Efforts

Groff Tractor Hosts Inaugural Charity Golf Classic Benefiting Construction Angels
Raised a remarkable $118,000 that will directly benefit Pennsylvania Families
Blue Bell, PA – 09 September 2024 – Groff Tractor & Equipment
Groff Tractor is proud to announce the success of their Inaugural Charity Golf Classic benefiting Construction Angels, with a remarkable total of $118,000 raised to directly benefit Pennsylvania families! Construction Angels, Inc., a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that provides immediate financial assistance and grief counseling to the children (19 years & younger) and spouse left behind when a construction worker is involved in a work-related fatality. They offer construction scholarship opportunities to qualified applicants, and additional scholarships to surviving children of a fallen worker.
Groff Tractor’s mission in becoming the official Pennsylvania State Affiliate in 2023 is to provide continued support to Construction Angels. By hosting an annual charity event to raise money for the organization, it is also a wonderful way to build camaraderie with customers and the local construction community. This year alone, Pennsylvania has seen numerous heartbreaking construction fatalities. With Groff Tractor’s help to raise money this year, Construction Angels has been able to reach out and provide assistance to these families in need.

This year’s Golf Classic took place under ideal conditions, with clear blue skies and a perfect 75-degree day at Bluestone Country Club in Blue Bell, PA. The day saw 106 golfers participating, with a total of 130 attendees. Prizes were awarded for various competitions, including Beat the Pro, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive. Golfers also took their best shot at the Hole-In-One prize: a 2024 John Deere 325G Compact Track Loader. And operator skills were put to the test on a John Deere 17 P-Tier Compact Excavator with a custom putter attachment and oversized golf ball, donated by Werk-Brau Attachments.
A closing ceremony concluded the night with dinner, prize winner announcements, and moving speeches from Kristi Ronyak, CEO & Founder of Construction Angels, and Mike Savastio, Groff Tractor & Equipment CEO. Mike took the stage and expressed his gratitude, “We are incredibly proud to have everyone here today. This cause holds a special place in our hearts. In the construction industry, it is unfortunate but inevitable that we all encounter tragic situations. Supporting Construction Angels and their mission to assist those in need is truly an honor. Kristi’s enthusiastic dedication to this cause is truly inspiring.”
